I designed three coordinated group looks and an additional individual costume for Paramore for a 20th Anniversary celebration concert. known for their fun punk aesthetic, I wanted my designs to reflect the band’s energy and evolution.
Each group look was inspired by a different album cover to mark key moments in their history together: a punk butterfly look (Brand New Eyes), an Alice in Wonderland inspired look (This is Why), a 70s punk vibe (RIOT!) and finally, a solo look for Hayley Williams inspired by neon lights (Paramore).
I constructed a vibrant pop/punk costume for lead singer Hayley Williams. Inspired by Paramore's album cover art for Brand New Eyes, a reveal costume comprised of a bright green cocoon coat and a bold yellow sparkly and black leather performance costume. This costume design was heavily inspired by the albums artwork consisting of a butterfly pinned to a concrete background.
